According to International Living’s Annual Global Retirement Index 2015, many Central and South American countries are very attractive retirement destinations.
Top 10 retirement destinations
The survey compares 25 countries, all retirement hot-spots, using 8 different criteria. While Panama was the top retirement destination in the 2014 rankings, Ecuador is considered as the best place to retire in 2015.

Wondering how to choose the country in which to spend your retirement years? In the survey, each country receives an overall score: 8 different criteria are used to calculate this score.
